2020 The Future is Now
Hello and a Happy New Year from our family to yours!
Today the Churchill team is back in the office and ready to help you navigate the opportunities and challenges that 2020 presents.
To be perfectly honest I wrote the first draft of this letter last December before we closed for a break. Since then fires have ravaged much of Australia.
Devastating is an understatement. I think we are all feeling grief and helplessness right now, and maybe also anger.
If you are wondering how you can help the many affected by the bushfires, here are some ideas…
- Look up your local fire brigade and make a donation of cash or time as most rely heavily on volunteers and limited state funding.
- Australian Red Cross
- Port Macquarie Koala Hospital
- The Rescue Collective
That said, I’m going to push on with the letter I wrote last year, because life must always go on, and we must always do our best and be grateful for what is.
So here we are in 2020… sounds like something out of a science fiction novel doesn’t it.
Sure, there have been a mountain of fairly swift changes in technology that have really changed the average Australian workplace over the last 20 years.
The good news is that even in the midst of technology changing, there’s some things that remain pretty constant … working hard, continually learning, sharing what you know willingly and bringing a great attitude to work, will always make you a respected member of a team.
Technology can never replace heart, determination and focus.
Or the joy of achievement as a team.
