In your working life, you will have noticed that the functions in a business continue to grow and change. One shift that readily comes to mind is the impact of technology on business operations over the years. Once, if we had talked about technology, we would all have thought of the IT teams that helped us when our computers were on the blink. Now, technology runs most systems in a business and touches every function.

Where some businesses may have lagged in this area, 2020 and COVID-19 highlighted that digital platforms were a necessity and propelled organisations forward swiftly into the digital world For that reason, the Diploma of Business (Digital Transformation) is a widely transferable qualification across industries and sectors.

A total of 12 units of competency must be completed in Diploma of Business (Digital Transformation). The units of competency required are:

From there, the elective units of competency are chosen from the specialty list to reflect your operational responsibilities, skills and knowledge.

The Diploma of Business (Digital Transformation) electives are consistent with the skills and knowledge that keep track of how an organisation is embedding digital strategies and maximising its data resources, whilst protecting itself in the world of cyber security. 

7 elective units are required to complete this specialisation. The elective units focus on the importance of coordinating digital strategies, analysing data and the ongoing collaboration of the team and review of these digital resources throughout the organisation. The specialty units of competency are:

    1. BSBDAT501 Analyse data
    2. BSBTEC403 Apply digital solutions to work processes
    3. BSBTEC404 – Use digital technologies to collaborate in a work environment
    4. BSBXCS402 – Promote workplace cyber security awareness and best practices
