Walking to the Moon for Mental Health

Team Churchill joined thousands of others for Soldier On Australia’s March On Challenge – to raise much needed funds for veteran mental health support. So far, March On has raised $1,700,000. Until 31 March 2022 you can still donate here.

March On challenged us each to walk 96 kilometres throughout March, the length of the Kokoda Trail.

Combined, all 7123 participants walked 376,851kms. That’s the distance to the moon! Which is a little bit funny since Churchill RPL assessor and veteran Trent Young did many of those kms in a moon boot!

DONATE HERE

Since starting in 2006, we’ve assisted thousands of veterans to turn their service skills, experience and knowledge into versatile civilian qualifications.

Transition from defence to the civilian world is challenging, which is why we have always been proud supporters of veteran career transition and mental health.

Team Churchill Walk for Mental Health

Thanks to our walkers (fundraisers) and our brilliant community of supporters, together we have raised funds that will support:

  • 241 Peer Support Sessions
  • 138 Employment Support Sessions
  • 16 Psychology Sessions

“We will never know who this has helped, but I can tell you it’s life changing… I’m proud to be part of the Churchill Education Team”. – Trent Young

With March quickly coming to a close, we’re doing one final push to raise funds for this great cause and finish March On with a bang.

If you’d like to jump in and support life-saving mental health services for veterans and their families, you can donate here.

The entire Churchill Education team is incredibly thankful for all who have cheered us along, supplied us with band-aids for blisters and joined us in this worthy challenge!
