Women’s Career Grants provides up to $4,999 of funding for women in Queensland who wish to return to work after a break. The funding covers many categories, including recertification and training.

Applications open on Monday 23 March 2026.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for funding, applicants must:
- Be a woman aged 18 years or older
- Be a resident of Queensland
- Be an Australian citizen
- Be unemployed for six months or more and ready to re-enter the workforce.
- Provide all required evidence requirements as outlined here
- Not have received funding from this program previously.
Expense Categories
You can apply for up to $4,999 in funding, made up from the following expense categories:
Recertification & Training
You may be able to put this funding towards qualifications gained through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). APPLY for a free appraisal here to find out what you are eligible for.
The grant is also available for:
- Workwear
- Technology
- Childcare
- Job readiness assistance
- Relocation (within Queensland)

There is $5 million available, until all funds are awarded. So it’s a great idea to submit your application as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out.
